ideal for use as live food for coldwater fish and tropical fish. The glassworm is also known as the White mosquito larvae and is a popular feed with many freshwater species. It is a lot more appealing to fish than frozen food or dried food and will often trigger feeding behaviours. Amphibian larvae are also known to enjoy a live Glassworm or two.

Are live Glassworms good for fish?

Glassworms are full of protein and fats that are perfect for helping fish to develop, recover from illness or move into breeding. While they are a very good food choice, we recommend pairing live glassworms with a nutrient-rich dry food to ensure complete nutrition during feeding.

Which fish eat Glassworms?

Glassworms are popular with most freshwater fish from Goldfish and Guppies to tetras, cichlids, bettas, rainbowfish, barbs, danios, rasboras and gouramies. They appeal to all small and medium-sized fish species.

How do I store Glassworms?

Live Glassworms will arrive ready to be served for maximum freshness. Simply pour them through a fine net, to get rid of the liquid in the pack, and dump them into your aquarium. You can store them for a few days if needed and they can be placed in a cold area, such as a fridge or garage, to reach their maximum shelf life.
